Trap Shoot
We had 7 participants from Victoria, La Grange
and Rockport. With winds in the 30+ MPH range and gusts over 40 MPH at
times, the brave few who shot, gave it their best efforts, even though the
scores might not indicate that. I have to believe it was definitely one of
the windiest days I have ever shot targets. We shot 1500+ targets.
With the winds we had
Saturday, and the size of the crowd participating, we used only one trap
field. We had both fields set-up, but I only have one set of weights for
the Canterburrys (old canvas shot bags filled with old primers), and the
field without the weights on the microphones wouldn't stay upright. So we
said, let's just shoot on one field and that way we would have scorers as
well.
